30 years of air max starting with the 1 (1987) to.....? Who knows where [the innovation will end.] Over the years i've certainly had some memorable experiences in air max. I've heard some cracking stories ranging from the am95 being the "most photographed footprint at a crime scene" to featuring in a campaign for the relaunch of the og mesh am90 infrared (2012ish). Some of my best pursuits have entailed hunting air max, and some of my greatest heartbreaks entailed just missing out on those cop's. Over the years this little obsession for Nike has opened my eyes, made me want to learn more about the origins of the brand (which is fucking excellent in case you had any doubt), and has also undoubtedly given me a whole new family (about 60000 strong) and earned me a couple of the bestest friends I will ever know. I wear my heart on my sleeve, and I'm pretty proud to profess my love for the air bubble. Here's to the next 30 years of innovation Nike!
I don't even care if you don't rate the look of this silhouette, if you respect innovation and progression, you will understand why this kick, flying-kick bangs 100/10. Essentially, this sneaker is 50% nike free, 50% nike air max, built with a flyknit upper and detailed with 3M. - In other words, it craftily embodies all of Nike's most significant technological breakthrough's of the last decade. -NO BIG DEAL GUYS. It's a total dream and you can bet it will sell out like a fucking freshly baked baguette. Limited retailers. Most likely Nikelab locations.
The 'Machhiato' V.7000FP Diadora. This kick is a thing of beauty. Never before in my life have I felt so blessed to have a crepe land on my feet. Every detail of this sneaker has been perfectly executed to interpret the concept. From the hairy suede on the foxing, to the slight hint of caramel colouring on the hind of the sole, the texture of the ostrich skin on the tongue, the golden stiched logo, the embossed logo on the heel tab. Total embodiment of the rich makeup of a macchiato. Perfection. Not only are these extra premium sneaks lined with leather, but they also have an extremely cushioned heel. I felt genuinely energised bouncing around in these. Pick these buttery little biscuits up in-store via la familia, Footpatrol, £145 from Tomorrow.
Aaaayyyyyyyeee what with us plunging head-first into Autumn I thought it was about time I start breaking out the mids. Interestingly, I went for these Flyknit mid Presto's from Size? Probably not the most conventional choice for cooler weather, but despite this, they kept me warm enough whilst scallying about on the Isle of Wight. Not gonna lie, I was pretty thankful for the sockliner when climbing up to this spot in Freshwater Bay as the last thing I wanted was to slip and fall in that fresh water. - Fun fact, Freshwater is my favourite Nike designated colour given to a kick, - I think it features on a Bo Jackson Air Trainer Max, but don't quote me on that....
