I have pretty much given up on UK festivals, and it is primarily because of the weather and shit camping conditions. In my opinion, when you are off your box getting a sweat on, the last thing you want, is to curl up into a sopping wet sleeping bag and wake up moist from humidity in a plastic rain-soaked tent. For this reason, I have elected to start exploring international festivals. This years first stop is Sónar. Hailed as a festival that explores music creativity and technology, it is generally a bit more of an engaging experience than strolling through a muddy puddle fest. As the event takes place throughout numerous locations within the town, it gives you the opportunity to explore the city as well as see some fucking extra-ordinarily talented musicians. Must see acts on my list include: Anderson .Paak And The Free Nationals, Bjork, Earl Sweatshirt, De La Soul, Giggs, Justice, Lunice, Little Dragon, Soulwax, Thundercat and Yves Tumor. BANG BANG.
